Visiting Las Vegas For A Day of Shopping

I've never felt attracted to the allure of the sin city for gambling and partying. That's because I don't like partying or gambling. Never did. Recently I saw an article on Las Vegas for people who want to visit the city for something other than the two aforementioned activities. Among its suggestions were the circus (I'll never go to one), visiting the foodie scene (would love to but maybe down the road) and shopping. It's the hook I needed to start researching airfare and hotel deals and plan my future trip. Apparently there are many shopping centers in Las Vegas but the one I want to visit is Premium Outlets North. For hotels, travel bloggers tout the Stratosphere and Tropicana hotels for the best room rates. I'll probably choose Stratosphere since it's cheaper. But Tropicana is closer.

FROM NYC:
Take the subway, then the AirTrain to either JFK or Laguardia (probably the latter)

LAS VEGAS:
1. After clearing immigration at McCarran International Airport and picking up luggage, take the Airport Shuttle to Stratosphere
note: book hotel right after booking the airplane ticket
2. Check in to the hotel
3. Get some rest and do a little exploring nearby
4. Come back to the hotel after dinner
5. Wake up really early to go walk along the Las Vegas Boulevard
6. Eat breakfast at a nearby cafe or diner
7. Walk to the Premium Outlets North
8. Spend the rest of the day there - if time allows, visit the Fashion Shopping Mall
9. Eat dinner and come back to the hotel
10.Start and finish packing
11.Check out early next morning and head to the airport via Airport Shuttle
12.Clear immigration and board plane to NYC
